On February 20, 2020, the Fifth Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held in Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic.The Lancang-Mekong Youth Exchange and Cooperation Center, initiated by Guangxi University of Finance and Economics as one of the initiators, attracted the attention of the foreign ministers at the meeting. The Lancang-Mekong Youth Exchange and Cooperation Center was jointly initiated by Fudan University and eight universities from six Lancang-Mekong countries, including Guangxi University of Finance and Economics, and was officially established at Fudan University on July 22, 2019 .Was established according to signed on the lancang - Mekong river youth exchanges and cooperation center of understanding (mou), the center focuses on large-scale mae basin countries to the actual demand of sustainable development, promote the six people to find and study the river basin sustainable development problems, participate in the governance mechanism, promote the valley youth, the youth innovation entrepreneurship, river basin management personnel training and multilateral cultural exchanges, problem solving for rings mai basin development looking for innovative solutions, cultivating young talents.
